Dwawa Lawala is Chichewa for “the Sun is completely out.” The first leaders of Malawi often cried out “Kwacha (it’s dawn)!” Malawians are now living in a generation where we are completely exposed to everything necessary for self-sustainability. There is a half sun on our flag representing the dawn of political independence. Dzuwa Lawala is a concept that challenges the emerging generation to take full advantage of the foundation laid by previous leaders and to participate in debates concerning necessary policy reforms.
Malawi has a leadership crisis. Chikondi is calling for "Generation Now" to participate in a Malawian renaissance.
The core values of Passion, Service and Excellence are also a slogan.
Dzuwa Lawala represents:
Appropriated energy
Focus
Inclusive politics (the sun shines on the just and the unjust)
